Lynchburg Tops the ODAC Men’s
and Women’s Indoor Track and Field Preseason Polls
SALEM, VA -- The
Lynchburg College Hornets have been tabbed to repeat as Old Dominion Athletic
Conference (ODAC) champions in both the men’s and women’s preseason indoor
track and field polls as voted on by the league’s head coaches.
The LC men garnered four of a possible five first-place
votes to earn the top spot in the men’s poll.
Last season, the Hornets captured their 18th league title. ODAC Coach-of-the-Year Jack Toms returns Ryan
Holmes who was named Athlete-of-the-Meet at the league championships last
season after he won the long jump, triple jumps, placed third in the 55-meter
hurdles and sixth in the high jump.
On the women’s side,
RC received one first-place vote and a total of 25
points. The Maroons were followed by
