R-MWC’s Dameron Scores 1000^th Career Point

Salem, Va. - - Randolph-Macon Woman’s College basketball player Amy Dameron (Fredericksburg, Va./Courtland) scored her 1000^th career point on Tuesday evening in the Wildcats’ 57-41 victory over Washington and Lee University.

            The senior guard reached the milestone on a free throw with 38 seconds remaining in the game.  She finished the game with 19 points and nine rebounds.  Dameron becomes just the sixth person in R-MWC school history to reach the 1000-point plateau.

            The Wildcats, now 5-13 overall and 3-11 in the ODAC, will host Roanoke College on Friday, February 6 at 7pm.
