Concordia University Tornados advance to the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship at Fox Cities Stadium, Grand Chute, Wisconsin.

Georgetown, Texas - Trinity's baseball team ended its run in the NCAA West Regional Tournament on Saturday, losing 5-14 to Concordia University. Trinity (37-11) finishes the season with a record for wins in a single season, besting the old mark of 35, and finishes with one of the best team ERA's in school history (2.26).

Against Concordia, Trinity just couldn't get the big hits in the game. The Tigers outhit the Tornados 14-12 in the game, and both teams committed just two errors. Four of Concordia's runs were unearned - all coming early in the game.

Concordia jumped out quickly, scoring twice in the second, and then five times in the third to build a 7-0 lead in the game. Trinity managed a three-run sixth to climb back in the game, but the Tornados answered with two more runs to keep the Tigers at bay.

Dash Kohlhausen led the team with two hits and three RBI for Trinity. Also with two hits were Cory Cassell, Jason Armstrong, Huston O'Connor, and Travis Steele. Cassell, Kohlhausen, and Steele - all seniors - each hit doubles for the Tigers, as did junior Kenneth Sharp. Trinity left 12 players on base in the game, and were 0-12 with runners on base through the first five plus innings. In six of the nine innings on offense, the Tigers had the leadoff man on, but couldn't score in three of those innings.
