Boyerstown, PA -- The Johns Hopkins University baseball team scored seven times in the bottom of the sixth inning and never looked back after that defeating Alvernia College, 14-4, in the second game of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Playoffs. Senior Jeremy Brown earned the win going seven strong allowing six hits, two runs, and striking out seven.

Hopkins catcher Doug Hitchner went 2-for-2 with four runs scored and the first four hitters of the Blue Jay lineup combined for eight hits, seven runs scored, and 10 RBI's to lead the bat attack. Sophomore Jeff Kiesel took the loss for the Crusaders as he lasted five innings allowing seven hits and seven runs.
