Eastern Mennonite Field Hockey Team Ranked #8 in Nation

 

Salem, Va. – The Eastern Mennonite University field hockey team is ranked #8 in the most recent National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Poll.

 

             Under head coach Brenda Bechler, the Royals are currently a perfect 8-0 on the season.  The Royals are led by 2002 ODAC Player of the Year Kristin Moyer (Souderton, Pa./Christopher Dock) who has tallied 15 goals and three assists for 33 points.  Jonalyn Denlinger (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite), last season’s Rookie of the Year, is second on the team with four goals and nine assists for 17 points.  Molly Harrington (Frederick, Md./Frederick) ranks third on the squad in scoring with five goals and one assist for 11 points.  Katie Moyer (Blooming Glen, Pa./Christopher Dock) and Emily Chamelin (Westminster, Md./Westminster) have split time in goal with Moyer averaging 0.68 goals against per game and Chamelin giving up 0.89 goals per contest.
