Guilford College Wins ODAC Golf Tournament
Quakers Shoot 600 in Two Day Event

Guilford College captured its fifth straight Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Golf Championship on
Tuesday afternoon at the Olde Mill Golf Course and Resort. The Quakers shot a 305-295 - - 600 to win
their eighth title overall.
Washington and Lee
finished in second place with a 639 followed by Bridgewater (642), Randolph-Macon (643), Virginia Wesleyan (646), Roanoke (651), Lynchburg (664),
Hampden-Sydney (667) and Emory & Henry (720).
Individually,
Guilford’s Chris Lowman won the event with a 75-69 - - 144 on the par 72 course to finish even. Teammate
Brant Stovall finished in second place with a 74-76 - - 150 and Virginia Wesleyan’s Larry Antinozzi came in third with a 78-73 - - 151.

J.B. Richardson of Hampden-Sydney was named the ODAC Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the 2003-04 season. The inaugural award is given by the conference’s Sports Information Directors. In order to be eligible, the athlete must have a 3.2 grade point average and have reached junior athletic and
academic standing at their institution.
Richardson, a senior from Poquoson, Virginia, was named to the All-Conference Second- Team this season, after finishing in 16th
place individually in the ODAC Golf Championships April 19-20. A member of Hampden-Sydney’s Honor
Council, Richardson has a 3.59 grade point average while majoring in economics. He has four top-10
finishes in 10 events this year, with his best effort coming at the Hampden-Sydney/Longwood Challenge where he finished in second place with a
season-low round of 69.
