Interviews with W&L's Gardner and Simpson, BC's Stevens

Washington and Lee head coach Kami Gardner One championship is in the books with four more on the horizon, giving Brad and J.J. plenty to talk about in this week's podcast.  The pair takes the time to recap last weekend's ODAC swimming championships with newly crowned ODAC Coach and Player of the Year, Kami Gardner and Sarah Simpson.  The show then switches gears and previews the upcoming indoor track championships with Bridgewater head coach Shane Stevens.

Coach Gardner is in her third season at Washington and Lee, having won each of the past two ODAC top coaching honors.  She's helped guide to her team to the last two conference titles (giving them W&L 20 overall), and has the privilege of coaching three ODAC Swimmers in the Year in two time winner Lindsay Strachan and this year's honoree, Simpson.  Simpson was a winner in five events at the championships, having won the 50-yard and 200-yard freestyle events while teaming with other Generals to win a trio of relay races.  The senior standout added the Atlantic States top swimming award in addition to her ODAC accolade.

Bridgewater head coach Shane Stevens Coach Stevens is in his 27th season as the architect of the Bridgewater track and field programs that have begun some of the most competitive squads in the conference.  His men's squad finished second at the conference championship last season, just one year removed from winning the ODAC crown in 2008.
