Interviews HU's Katie Furches and BC's Lee Williams
The spring championship season has quickly drawn upon us with
nine ODAC crowns set to be awarded in the next four weeks.
Brad and J.J. take a little time to touch on those events, but take
you in-depth in the ODAC golf championship and a look back at the
recently completed ODAC Equestrian Championships...making 10 ODAC
titles bestowed in a 30-day period.
Hollins University rider Katie Furches chimes in following HU's
equestrian victory, its second in the last three years.
Furches was tabbed the ODAC Rider of the Year after besting each of
her competitors at the Randolph College stables on April 9.
The event featured two equitations over fences and a third on the
flat, and Katie outshined the field by 2.25 points.
Lee Williams is the head coach of the Bridgewater College golf
team, and also serves as the chair of the ODAC's golf coaches
committee. A veteran of 10 seasons in the ODAC, Williams
talks about the depth of talent in the conference and how its grown
since he came on board with the Eagles. He gives some insight
in the ODAC tournament, and what may be to come on the national
level following the league championships.
