FOREST, Va. --- Washington and Lee University

Commissioner’s Cup for the third straight season.
Farm Bureau Insurance is the proud sponsor for the Dan Wooldridge
Overall Champions Cup and the Men and Women's Commissioner's
Cups. Farm Bureau and the ODAC continue their partnership in
focusing on the strength of the conference's student-athletes and
maintaining the NCAA Division III philosophy of the complete
student-athlete experience. Aside from supporting the ODAC
Commissioners' Cups, Farm Bureau is the sponsor of the ODAC's
sport-by-sport scholar-athlete awards.
Points for the Commissioner's Cups are based on regular season
standings in team sports and championship team finishes in
individual sports. Each institution has a total number of
possible points they can collect based on their individual sport
sponsorship. The total number of points earned is then
divided by the total number of possible points in order to come up
with a ranking for each institution.
The race for the overall cup title came down to the final
standings of the spring seasons. Washington and Lee earned
144.0 points of a possible 188.0 for a 0.766 rating.
Lynchburg collected 130.0 points of 184.0 for a 0.707 rating.
The Generals, winners of their 15th overall sport
trophy, secured their 11th women’s cup with a
0.848 rating (84-of-99 possible points earned). Washington
and Lee claimed conference championship titles in swimming while
also finishing the regular season atop the standings in
women’s lacrosse and women’s tennis. The Generals
went on to win ODAC tournament titles in women’s cross
country, women’s lacrosse and women’s tennis as well as
football and men’s tennis.
