ODAC Podcast: February 17, 2013
Interviews with VWC's Macedo and EMU's Griffin
FOREST, Va. --- The pairings for the ODAC
men's and women's basketball tournaments are out, and Brad and J.J.
dive into them in-depth as they look ahead to 22 total games over
the next week. They're joined on this edition of the ODAC
Podcast by Virginia Wesleyan head men's coach, Dave Macedo, and
Eastern Mennonite head women's coach, Kevin Griffin. Both
squads earned the top seed in their respective draws.
Macedo is in his 13th season guiding the Marlins' men's basketball
program. He's led the squad to eight straight NCAA Division
III Men's Basketball Tournament appearances, winning the national
title in 2006. His squads have won four ODAC championships,
including the 2012 title.
Griffin is in eighth season at the helm of the Royals' women's
program. His squad owns a 15-1 conference record this season,
leading the way to the top seed in the women's ranks. With 19
overall victories, EMU has a shot at its second straight 20-win
campaign, which would mark the first time the program has
accomplished that feat.
