ODAC Podcast: October 17, 2012
Interviews with GC's Matt Pawlowski and W&L's Kris Hoey
FOREST, Va. --- In this week's ODAC
Podcast, Brad and J.J. go in-depth into football and men's and
women's cross country. They're joined by Guilford College
freshman quarterback Matt Pawlowski, who has led the Quakers to two
straight wins in conference play. Washington and Lee
University women's cross country coach Kris Hoey also joins the
program as she talks about her squad and the upcoming ODAC
championships.
Pawlowski picked up his second ODAC Offensive Player of the Week
award for his efforts as Thursday as the Quakers topped Bridgewater
College, 23-20, marking the first win for Guilford over BC since
2006. Pawlowski had a hand in each of the Quakers' three
touchdowns and twice brought the squad back from deficits.
Guilford is one of four ODAC teams within a game of the top
spot in the conference at 2-1.
Hoey is in her ninth season as the Generals' women's cross country
coach, while also serving as an assistant track & field coach.
She has been honored as the ODAC Women's Cross Country Coach
of the Year six times, including a string of five straight from
2004 thru 2008. Her squads won team titles in each of those
six seasons. She coached the ODAC individual champion in each
campaign during her five year COY run, and she's had at least one
runner qualify for the NCAA Division III Championships in each of
the last five years.
