R-MWC’s Prewitt Ties ODAC Record for Rebounds
Sophomore Tallies 24 Boards to Break School Record

Salem, Va. - - Randolph-Macon Woman’s College sophomore basketball player Jennifer Prewitt (Crozier, Va./Goochland) tied the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) record for rebounds in a game when she pulled down 24 boards in a 62-45 win over Hollins University on Wednesday evening.

The 5’11” forward tied Guilford’s Laura Haynes’ record that was established on February 14, 1998 versus Bridgewater College.  In the process, Prewitt broke the school’s record for total rebounds as well as offensive rebounds with 11.  Both of the school records were set by Tara Carleton in 1999.

The victory over Hollins marks R-MWC’s first ODAC win of the season.  The Wildcats now hold a record of 2-6 and will host Virginia Wesleyan College on Friday at 7pm.
