Lynchburg’s Pyzik Scores 1000^th Point

Salem, Va. - - Lynchburg College’s Abby Pyzik (Westminster, Md./Mercy) scored her 1,000^th career point on Saturday evening as the Hornets defeated Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, 72-65. 

            A senior guard, Pyzik scored a career-high 32 points in the victory.  She reached the 1,000 point plateau on a free throw with 34 seconds remaining in the contest to give the Hornets a 70-62 lead.  Her 32 points, on 10 of 13 shooting, gives her 1,002 points for her career, putting her in fifth place all-time on the Lynchburg College scoring list.  She also moved into second place on the all-time assist list during the game, distributing five to give her 334 for her career.

            Lynchburg will travel to Meredith College on Tuesday, February 3 for a 7:00pm game.
