ODAC Football Play of the Week: Week 5

Who will be the winner of this week's ODAC Football Play of the Week?  You make the call!

Each week, our member schools submit plays to the conference office for your consideration for the ODAC Play of the Week.  Watch each of the finalists below and then vote for the play that you think is the best of the week in the poll at the bottom of the page.  Each week's winner will be announced on Wednesday afternoons.  The winners will be eligible for the ODAC Football Play of the Year at the end of the season!

PLAY 1: Bridgewater at Catholic

  PLAY 2: Hampden-Sydney vs. Catholic
Pct. of Votes Received: 54.5%
Description: Down 29-14 and with Shenandoah trying to lock up its first ODAC win, Bridgewater defensive back Darrick Gore stepped in front of a Drew Ferguson pass, juggled the ball before securing it, and then darted 38-yards for a score midway thru the fourth quarter.   Description: Late in the third quarter, Hampden-Sydney running back Brady Macko busted loose for a 78-yard touchdown run in which he elluded a couple of defenders before reaching pay-dirt.  The score extended H-SC's lead to three possessions.


PLAY 3: Randolph-Macon vs. Emory & Henry

  PLAY 4: Shenandoah vs. Bridgewater
Pct. of Votes Received: 2.6%
Description: Midway thru the fourth quarter, Randolph-Macon recovered an Emory & Henry fumble at its own 1-yard line.  Running back Will McGhee needed just one play to turn it into points as he darted thru the E&H defensive line and kicked in an extra gear to out-pace the Wasps' secondary for a school-record 99-yard touchdown run.
  Description: Faced with a 4th-and-4 from the Bridgewater 32-yard line, Shenandoah elected to go for it.  On that play, quarterback Justin Neff hit receiver Miles Green on a 32-yard catch and run.  The play gave the Hortnets a 29-7 lead with 4:10 left in the third quarter, effectively sealing the win for SU.
