Washington and Lee Wins ODAC Football Play of the Week Award

FOREST, Va. --- Just two plays were in the running for ODAC Play of the Week following a two-game weekend.  Washington and Lee University picked up its first win of the season, out-pacing Catholic to the poll's closing bell.

Late in the third quarter, W&L running back Marshall Hollerith seemed stopped on his bid for a third touchdown, but he absorbed the hit and used a second effort to dive over the goal line to give the Generals a 35-17 lead.  They eventually won the game, 35-24.

The competition generated 327 total votes amongst the two plays nominated.  Washington and Lee earned 217 votes (66.2%) to secure the top spot.  In total, both plays were watched more than 400 times on YouTube over the past two days.
