Eastern Mennonite Earns Top Seed

SALEM, Va. --- The Eastern Mennonite Royals enter the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Field Hockey Tournament as the #1 seed after finishing the conference regular season with a 6-1 record and winning a head-to-head tiebreaker with Lynchburg College.  The Hornets go into the eight-team tourney as the #2 seed while Randolph-Macon sits in the third spot.  Washington and Lee University rounds out top four seeds, of which each will host a quarterfinal matchup next Saturday.

Virginia Wesleyan College earns the fifth seed through the ODAC tie-breaking procedure, while Bridgewater College and Roanoke College occupy the sixth and seventh spots under the same criteria, respectively.  Sweet Briar College sits as the eighth seed to finalize the field.

ODAC tournament action begins Saturday, November 1, with four quarterfinal matchups.  The winners will play Wednesday, November 5, at the two highest remaining seeds.  The ODAC Championship will take place on Saturday, November 8, on the campus of the remaining highest seed.
