HSC’s Smith Named 2007 Jopson Award Recipient
Each spring, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Board of Directors recognizes its top male and female athlete with a pair of the conference’s highest honors. This year, the 2007 Harry G. “Doc” Jopson Scholar-Athlete Award winner as the top male student-athlete is Hampden-Sydney College senior, Greg Smith. A native of Warrenton, Virginia, Smith is a standout on the Tigers’ men’s soccer team.

R-M Woman's College Names First Two Men's Team Coaches
The last three months have been marked by historical events on the campus of Randolph-Macon Woman’s College. On September 9, the Board of Trustee’s announced a strategic plan that will make the college coed in the fall of 2007. On December 9, the new name of the college—Randolph College—was announced to the public.

Roanoke’s Eversole Earns ODAC Top Player Honor
The 2006 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men’s soccer standings saw a logjam throughout its listings this season, lending one of the most competitive seasons in recent years. Roanoke College’s Eric Eversole stood out among the rest in the eyes of the league coaches, earning the ODAC Player of the Year award.

The 2006 NCAA Division III championships jump into action this week with six Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) schools scattered throughout the brackets. ODAC Coaches Pick Va. Wesleyan to Repeat
Defending Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) champion Virginia Wesleyan College garnered eight first place votes to claim the top spot in the annual men’s soccer preseason coaches poll. Roanoke College (two first place votes) and Washington and Lee University sit second and third, respectively.
