VWC's Bowers Adds Men's Soccer Post
The 2012 Virginia Wesleyan men's and women's soccer teams will have more in common than ever before as this year they will both be led by one of the most experienced and successful head coaches in Division III soccer. Jeff Bowers has been named Director of Men's and Women's Soccer, adding men's head coaching duties to his role as women's head coach.

Randolph Falls to UT-Tyler in NCAA's
The Randolph College men’s soccer team’s history-making journey through the NCAA Tournament ended Friday night as the University of Texas at Tyler got an overtime tally from Elijah Shipman in a 2-1 decision in action from Farquhar Field at University of Redlands. The WildCats end the season with a program record 18 wins, falling in only six contests.

Sindle, Waggoner Head Soccer Awards
Randolph picked up a pair of individual honors as part of the ODAC Men’s Soccer All-Conference Awards. Corey Sindle was tabbed the Player of the Year, while Bryan Waggoner earned the league’s top coaching prize. Lynchburg's Luke Moore was named the Rookie of the Year, and Washington and Lee's Jamie Paldino repeated as the scholar-athlete.

Randolph Tops DeSales, Off to Sectionals
Randolph College saw its string of 2-1 victories end on Sunday evening as the WildCats mustered three first-half goals to defeat DeSales University, 3-2, at Christopher Newport University. The win propels Randolph into a matchup with the University of Texas at Tyler next weekend in the sectional round. A location for that sectional has yet to be announced.

Randolph Stuns CNU in NCAA First Round
Randolph won its first-ever NCAA Tournament game Saturday evening, knocking off No. 2 and title hopeful Christopher Newport on Saturday evening from Captains Field. With the victory, Randolph (17-5) advances to the second round to take on DeSales on Sunday evening at 6 p.m. DeSales knocked off York (PA) College 1-0 Saturday afternoon.

Randolph to Face CNU in NCAA Soccer
Randolph College men's soccer will travel to Newport News this weekend for its first appearance in the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament. The WildCats will square off with regional host Christopher Newport University on Saturday at a time yet to be determined. The winner faces DeSales University or York College (Pa.) on Sunday, also at CNU.

WildCats Win First Men's Soccer Title
The Randolph College men’s soccer team, in only its fifth season of existence, reached the top of the ODAC Saturday earning its first ever conference crown with a 2-1 victory over Lynchburg College in action from WildCat Stadium. The WildCats will make their first appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament next week.

Hornets Headed Back to Title Game
Ryan Renfro made his first two goals of the season count Wednesday evening as the sixth-seeded Lynchburg upset #2 Eastern Mennonite University, 2-1, in an ODAC Tournament semifinal on Wednesday. LC will meet Randolph in a cross-town contest on Saturday at Randolph for the ODAC championship.

Randolph Headed to First Men's Soccer Final
Randolph striker Corey Sindle slipped a header past VWC keeper Ryan Zmuda in the 103rd minute to propel the WildCats to a 2-1 double-overtime victory in Lynchburg on Tuesday night. Randolph advances to its first men's soccer final against either W&L or EMU on Saturday.

EMU Shuts Out BC in Quarterfinals
It had been six years, but Eastern Mennonite finally got a win in the ODAC Tournament. The Royals blanked rival Bridgewater, 2-0, on a cold Sunday night, getting out of the tourney's first round since finishing as the runner-up in 2005. EMU moves on to face Lynchburg on Tuesday in Harrisonburg. The sixth-seeded Hornets upset Washington and Lee earlier on Sunday.

Lynchburg Tops W&L in Quarterfinals
Senior Kyle Symczak scored the only goal of the game to help #6 Lynchburg defeat #3 Washington and Lee on Sunday in the ODAC Tournament quarterfinal round. The Hornets move on to face Eastern Mennonite in Harrisonburg on Tuesday. EMU beat Bridgewater earlier on Sunday.

Marlins Knock-Off Top-Seeded Maroons
Eighth-seeded Virginia Wesleyan College stunned top-seeded Roanoke College with a 2-0 victory in an ODAC quarterfinal game played on the Maroons' field. The Marlins move on to face Randolph College in the semifinals on Tuesday in Lynchburg. The WildCats defeated Randolph-Macon College, 2-1 in overtime, earlier on Saturday.

Sophomore Will Wolf headed in a corner 4:45 into overtime to lift Randolph College to a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Randolph-Macon College in ODAC Tournament action from WildCat Stadium Saturday. The WildCats move on to face Virginia Wesleyan College on Tuesday in the semifinals in Lynchburg.

Men's Soccer Tournament Field Set
Roanoke College enters the 2011 ODAC Men’s Soccer Tournament as the #1 seed via head-to-head tie-breaker results over second-seeded Eastern Mennonite University during the regular season. The Maroons have not entered postseason play as the top seed since the 2008 campaign.

LC Favored Atop ODAC Men’s Soccer Poll
Four teams received first place consideration in the ODAC Men’s Soccer Preseason Poll. LC sits atop the list after earning five first place nods towards 94 poll points. VWC is second with 87 tallies and two top votes, just two points clear of RC, which also received a first place vote. H-SC collected the three remaining first place votes on the way to 76 points.

BC Tabs Bennison to Men's Soccer Post
Bridgewater College President George Cornelius and director of athletics Curt Kendall have announced the hiring of Ryan Bennison as the head coach of the College’s men’s soccer program. He comes to BC following three years as the top assistant at Anderson University (Ind.).
