Zach Colby, Washington and Lee, Sophomore, Midfielder

Colby, a sophomore from Prairie Village, Kans., burst on the scene with five goals in a pair of season-opening victories for the Generals.  He paced W&L with two goals in a 3-0 win over Moravian in the first contest of the year.  He backed that up with with a hat-trick in which he cashed in the game-winner win a 4-2 triumph over Bethany (W.Va.).  

Men's Soccer Honor Roll

Freddy Gomez, Guilford - (Sr, F - Valparaiso, Chile, 7)
Gomez scored twice in Guilford's 4-2 win over Averett. His penalty kick goal in the second half was the game-winner. He also scored the game-winner in Guilford's 2-1 win over Greensboro. Gomez moved into third place on Guilford's career goal-scoring list with 33 tallies.

Bryan Talbert, Hampden-Sydney - (Jr, M - Seaford, VA, 10)
In a 1-1 week for H-SC, Talbert posted his first career multi-goal game when he tallied a hat trick in a 3-0 defeat of Marymount University. The junior midfielder had five career goals entering the season.

Luke Moore, Lynchburg - (So, F - Richmond, VA, 3)
Moore, the reigning ODAC Rookie of the Year, helped the Hornets go 1-1 at the Roanoke College Invitational,  Following a 1-0 loss to Neumann, Moore scored the game-winning goal in a 2-0 triumph over Gwynedd-Mercy College on Sunday.

David Cartmill, Randolph-Macon - (Jr, M - Newtownabbey, Ireland, 28)
Cartmill scored the only two goals for R-MC in a pair of 4-1 losses to Rowan and Ramapo. He ended the weekend with four points and a shot % of .667. His only two shots on goal resulted in goals.

Brian White, Roanoke - (Jr, MF - Virginia Beach, VA, 11)
White helped Roanoke to a 1-1 week with a goal and an assist in the Maroons' season-opening win over Gwynedd-Mercy on Saturday.

Isaac Arington, Va. Wesleyan - (SO, F - DeSoto, Texas, 7)
Arrington was a key player in VWC's 1-1 week that featured a stunning 3-0 victory over No.1 ranked and defending national champion Ohio Wesleyan. After falling 5-1 to York (Pa.) on Friday, Arrington assisted Austin VonVille and Chris Luce on their first half goals, and then notched a tally of his own in the 65th minute to cement the 3-0 victory.
