Burkholder Nabs Postseason Awards
Honored by D3hoops.com and the WBCA
FOREST, Va. --- Bridgewater senior forward
Jordan Burkholder added to her awards resume over the past week
with a pair of postseason honors. The 2011 ODAC Player of the
Year was named to the All-South Region First Team by D3hoops.com,
and later earned selection to the 2011 State Farm Coaches' NCAA
Division III All-America Honorable Mention Team by the Womens
Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
Burkholder earned the conference's Player of the Year award at the
annual ODAC awards banquet last month in Salem, Va. and became just
the second conference Player of the Year in program
history. The Bridgewater-native poured in a league-best 18.6
points per game and was second in the nation in steals per game
with 4.8.
She led her team to 71 wins in four years and became the squad's
all-time leader in scoring and steals this season, amassing 1,764
career points to go along with 391 steals.
