2010-11 ODAC Women's Basketball "Virtual" Media Guide
What's in store for 2011?
The faces on the court continually change from year-to-year, but
there is a new air to the league for the 2010-11 season as three
new head coaches take over the reins of ODAC programs.
Hollins University has a new boss in Jim Phillips, he's
joined by a pair of new mentors from the Hill City in Abby Pyzik
from Lynchburg College and Allison Nichols of Randolph
College. Each has intimate knowledge of the league, whether it
be as a former assistant (Phillips at HU), a player (Nichols at BC)
or both (Pyzik played at LC, assisted at W&L).
One thing that hasn't changed is the starting lineup that won the
ODAC title in 2010. Washington and Lee University welcomes
back several key performers including all five starters from the
squad that donned its first conference women's basketball crown.
Head coach Mandy King and the Generals certainly eye a shot
at a repeat performance, but the road will not be easy when one
looks at the competition.
Questions abound throughout the league as the season draws near.
Can W&L duplicate its 2010-11 showing? Has Roanoke
retooled for another strong season as Susan Dunagan approaches 600
wins? What will Randolph-Macon look like following the
graduation of Molly Ariail? Is Bridgewater ready to make
another run? Are Eastern Mennonite, Virginia Wesleyan and
Guilford ready to take that next step? What will the league's
first and second year head coaches bring to their programs?

The information inside will continue to evolve as the
preseason progresses, bringing you a more "virtual" experience than
a print or PDF media guide. Updates to come include full
rosters, individual program preview articles, and other team
specific information. This page will also evolve with the
addition of the annual ODAC Women's Basketball Preseason Poll (Nov.
4 after 2pm) and video clips from each of the coaches' appearances
at the 2010-11 ODAC Media Day. Remember to use the links on
the right to gather even more information including season
archives, records, all-conference teams and the 2010-11 composite
