Robinson Named IWLCA All-American

Honor is Second for Generals' Senior
LEXINGTON, Va. --- The Intercollegiate Women's
Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) recently announced its 2009
Division III All-America teams and Washington and Lee senior
midfielder Kelsi Robinson (West Chester, Pa./Westtown) garnered
third-team laurels.
Robinson is the 25th women's lacrosse player to receive All-America
status since 1992 and just the fifth General to receive the honor
in back-to-back years.
A two-time third team recipient and a two-time First Team
All-Region honoree, Robinson also collected First Team All-Old
Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) accolades for the
second-straight year. She played in 17 contests this spring and was
third on the team in scoring with 41 points on 22 goals and a
team-best 19 assists. Additionally, she secured a team-best 39 draw
controls, scooped up a second-best 42 ground balls and caused a
second-best 18 turnovers. Robinson finished fourth on the W&L
career scoring list with 205 career points on 104 goals and 101
assists. Her 101 assists also rank second on the all-time list.
Washington and Lee completed the 2009 season with a 13-5 overall
record and a 7-1 conference mark. The second-seeded Generals fell
to top-seeded Roanoke, 11-9, in the ODAC championship game.
