Brittany Hammons, Randolph, Sophomore, Forward
Hammons, a sophomore from Yorktown, Va., helped the WildCats open the season 2-0 for the second straight season. Against Ferrum in Randolph's opening contest, Hammons scored the first goal of the game, but her services would be needed again as she tallied the game-winner in ninth minute of the first overtime period to secure a 3-2 win over the Panthers. Hammons followed that performance by swithing to a playmaker's role as she assisted on a pair of goals by Abigail Bullins in a 4-1 victory over Gallaudet.

Anna Theisen scored in the first half to give BC a 2-1 lead over Mary Washington and then assisted on Krissy Snyder's goal later in the game to force overtime. Mary Washington won in two OTs, 5-4. Theisen scored the game's first goal Sunday in BC's 5-0 win over Averett.
Nora Osei, East. Mennonite - (So, F - Springfield, VA, 21)
Nora Osei capped a wild second half on Friday by scoring both the game-tying and game-winning goals in the span of less than two minutes in the Royals' only contest of the weekend. She tied the game with Gallaudet at 2-2 in the 80th minute, and then used a stutter step on a breakaway to pull out the keeper and score the game-winner in the 82nd minute.
Jessica Gonzalez, Lynchburg - (Sr, Midfielder - Springfield, VA, 3)
Gonzalez showed the Hornets' scoring machine is finely tuned, even to start a season, as she scored twice and dished out an assist in Lynchburg's 4-0 win over Maryville (Tenn.) on Friday.
Jessica Edelman, Virginia Wesleyan - (Sr, F - Vorhees, N.J., 3)
Edelman resumed her role as a leading scorer for VWC with an assist on the second goal in the Marlins' 5-0 victory over Rutgers University-Newark and with an assist and a goal in a 2-1 win over Eastern University. She assisted on the goal that tied the game and the fired in the game-winner in the 78th minute.
Jasmine Soo, Washington and Lee - (Jr, F - Charleston, W.Va., 19)
Soo helped the Generals' to a season-opening blowout win over Southern Virginia, 7-1, as she notched a pair of goals in a four shots on goal.
