Saluting the Winter Scholar-Athletes
Six student-athletes from Old Dominion Athletic Conference member schools earned a 2010 ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete Award during the winter athletic schedule. Farm Bureau Insurance is the proud presenter of each award for the ODAC's 22 sponsored sports.

Swimming All-ODAC Teams Announced
Washington and Lee University placed 13 student-athletes on the 16-woman All-ODAC Swimming First Team following its record 20th ODAC title last month at Radford University. The Generals secured 17 honors in total between the first and second teams, as well as garnering all but one of the major individual awards.

Washington and Lee Wins ODAC/Atlantic States Title
Washington and Lee University captured its second straight and 20th overall ODAC Swimming Championship on Sunday afternoon, also winning the full ODAC/Atlantic States team championship. Randolph-Macon finished second with Sweet Briar placing third in the three-day event.

2010 ODAC Championship Preview
The 2010 ODAC/Atlantic States Championships are set to begin the morning of Friday, February 12, and continue through the final 400-yard freestyle relay on Sunday evening. While many records fell in 2009, the 2010 ODAC Championships may be more about depth and new faces than about top marks.

ODAC Players of the Week: January 25
Action in ODAC winter sports continued over the past week, and several athletes enjoyed banner weeks. Washington and Lee's Sarah Simpson (above) helped the Generals to wins over Catholic and Marymount by winning both the 200-yard and 100-yard freestyle events, as well as swimming a leg on a winning relay.

ODAC Players of the Week: January 18
The full winter slate of ODAC athletics was in action over the past week for the first time since early December. Track joined the fray with multiple meets for both the men and women. Swimming featured several ODAC squads in action. And mens and womens basketball enjoyed standings-separating matchups and a couple of Top-25 showdowns.

Swimming joined men's and women's basketball in action followed its lay-off from the holiday break. In the pool, Lizzy Buckley (above) helped Randolph-Macon defeat Hollins University, winning a pair of events with ODAC top-10 times.

ODAC Players of the Week: December 9
Indoor track joined swimming and basketball in action as the full ODAC winter season is now in full swing. Four teams, including the ODACs newest programs at Guilford College, took to the indoor facilities over the past week. In swimming, Washington and Lee had a strong showing at the University of Virginia, led by Sarah Simpson (above).

ODAC Players of the Week: Nov. 23
ODAC basketball has been largely victorious over the first eight days of the 2009-10 campaign. The league's teams, both men and women, combined for a 39-20 record, including an 8-0 start within the men's fixtures. ODAC swimming also continued throughout the past week of action.

ODAC Players of the Week: Nov. 16
The ODAC is in the midst of transitioning to its winter sports as the fall disciplines continue through NCAA tournament action. In swimming, Dani Humphrey spearheaded SBC's effort in its meet against W&L. Humphrey won both the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly events, posting times that would rank within the league's top five in both events this season.

ODAC Players of the Week: Nov. 9
The fall regular season is in the books, leaving swimming and football as the only ODAC sports currently in scheduled action. Justine Merritt earns the ODAC Swimmer of the Week award for helping Guilford to a dual meet victory over Hollins University. She won a pair of races and swam the deciding leg of the medley relay.

WLU Wins ODAC Fall Relays
The 2009-10 ODAC swimming season recently got underway as Washington and Lee University hosted the ODAC Fall Relays on Saturday, October 24. The Generals claimed six of 10 events, while Randolph-Macon College and Sweet Briar College won two relays apiece.

Wash. and Lee Tops ODAC Swimming Poll
Washington and Lee picked up top billing in the 2009-10 ODAC Swimming Preseason Poll in a vote of the league's coaches. The Generals, winners of each of the past two titles and 19 overall, earned six of seven first place votes. Lynn Bazzel (above) looks to lead WLU to its 20th ODAC crown.

WLU Earns CSCAA Academic Honors
The CSCAA recently announced its Spring 2009 list of Scholar-Athlete Teams and the Washington and Lee men's and women's teams were among those honored. Several individuals were also recognized.
