Jocelyn Cassada, Washington and Lee, Senior

Cassada, a senior from Charlotte, N.C., earns her second swimming weekly award of the early season.  Cassada helped lead the Washington and Lee women's swimming team to a 147-89 victory over Transylvania on Saturday by winning one individual event and participating on two winning relay teams.  She took the 50-yard freestyle by completing the event in 25.83.  She also swam the lead leg on the winning 400 medley (4:12.40) and 200 free relay teams (1:43.52) as the Generals improved to 3-0 on the season.

Swimming Honor Roll

Laura Schultz, Bridgewater, Freshman
Schultz led the Eagle swimmers in tri-meet action on Friday evening at Emory & Henry. Schultz set a new school standard in the 100 short-course-meter (SCM) backstroke with her runner-up finish in the event. The freshman touched the pad in a time of 1:13.46 to set a new standard. Shultz also swam the lead leg of the 200 SCM medley relay which set a new school standard while claiming the victory in the event.
