VIRGINIA EDAHL, Sweet Briar College, Senior, No. 1 Singles/No. 1 Doubles

Edahl, a senior from Charlotte, N.C., helped the Vixens to a 6-2 over Randolph-Macon College last week.  Playing out of the No.1 position, Edahl earned a 6-1, 6-4 victory in singles action.  She then teamed with Moriah Burke at No. 1 doubles to post an 8-1 win over the R-MC pair.  The duo are 5-1 this season with ODAC wins over Hollins and Randolph-Macon. 

Women's Tennis Honor Roll

Shawte Woodson and Finley Vinson, Hollins University, #3 and #6 Singles/#3 Doubles
Woodson and Vinson combined for a 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles against Virginia Wesleyan last week.  Woodson won her No. 3 singles match, 6-2 and 6-3, with Vinson topping VWC's No. 6 singles player, 6-0, 6-0.

Moriah Burke, Sweet Briar College, #2 Singles/#1 Doubles
Burke combined with Virginia Edahl to defeat Randolph-Macon's No. 1 doubles players, 8-1.  Burke also won at No. 2 singles, 6-0 and 6-1.
