LC's Flynn Wins National Championship
Lynchburg senior Ricky Flynn (above) continued his string of championship performances on Saturday afternoon, adding the 2009 NCAA Division III National Cross Country Championship to his impressive resume. Flynn out-paced the field by 23 seconds.

Football is the only exception as its tournament begins on Saturday with 16 first round contests around the nation. Flynn Wins South/Southeast Regional
Lynchburg's Ricky Flynn (above) led a strong ODAC showing at the South/Southeast Regional Cross Country Championships on Saturday, hosted by Guilford College. The Hornet men finished second overall, which qualifies for the NCAA D-III Championships in Cleveland, Ohio, next weekend.

Guilford Set to Host South Regional
The regions top small-college distance runners are headed to Guilford this weekend for the running of the NCAA D-III South/Southeast Regionals. Representatives from 36 womens teams and 32 mens squads compete this Saturday for berths in the D-III National Championship. The womens 6K race begins at 11:00 a.m. and is followed by the mens 8K event at noon.

Lynchburg Sweeps Cross Country Titles
Lynchburg picked up four championships on Saturday afternoon as the Hornets won both team titles as well as both individual crowns at the 2009 ODAC Cross Country Championships. Ricky Flynn and Jennie Pernisi took home top honors.

ODAC Players of the Week: Sept. 28
ODAC league standings began taking shape over the past week with several programs making it through their first conference contests unscathed. Cross country also remained strong as Jordan White and Kat Telfeyan (above) captured the Maroon Invitational individual titles.

ODAC Players of the Week: Sept. 21
Many ODAC schools opened the league portions of their schedules this past week, and the athletes didn't disappoint with their performances. Bridgewater's Jordan White (above) became the first multi-weekly award winner of the season as he won the men's side of the Guilford Cross Country Carnival, his second win of the year.

Lynchburg Tops ODAC Men's Poll
Lynchburg was picked to retain the ODAC mens cross country title after securing the top position in this seasons annual poll. The Hornets received six first place votes and 94 total poll points. Ricky Flynn (above) paces LC as he goes in search of a third straight top runner award.

WLU Picked to Win Sixth Straight Title
Washington and Lee collected 78 total points and six first place votes as the coaches tabbed the Generals to win their sixth-straight womens cross country title. Kat Telfeyan (above) helps lead a strong stable of runners.
