LC's Flynn Wins National Championship
Adds to List of Recent Individual Titles
HIGHLAND HILLS, Ohio --- Lynchburg College
senior Ricky Flynn continued his recent string of championship
performances on Saturday afternoon by adding the 2009 NCAA Division
III Cross Country Championship to his impressive resume. The
multiple All-American in both track and field and cross country
out-paced the field by 23 seconds in claiming his first national
crown.
Flynn, who was accompanied by the rest of the ODAC champion
Lynchburg men's squad, is a three-time ODAC individual champion
that includes a victory in this year's meet in Salem,
Virginia. He went on to win the South/Southeast Regional Meet
in Greensboro, North Carolina, distancing the field by 16
seconds.
