LC's Flynn Wins National Championship

Adds to List of Recent Individual Titles

HIGHLAND HILLS, Ohio --- Lynchburg College senior Ricky Flynn continued his recent string of championship performances on Saturday afternoon by adding the 2009 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship to his impressive resume.  The multiple All-American in both track and field and cross country out-paced the field by 23 seconds in claiming his first national crown.

Flynn, who was accompanied by the rest of the ODAC champion Lynchburg men's squad, is a three-time ODAC individual champion that includes a victory in this year's meet in Salem, Virginia.  He went on to win the South/Southeast Regional Meet in Greensboro, North Carolina, distancing the field by 16 seconds.
