Andris Goncarovs, Guilford, Junior

Goncarovs, a junior from Ithaca, N.Y., narrowly missed out on his first event victory of the season on Saturday as he competed in the UNC-Wilimington Invitational.  He finished with a time of 15:43.14, which was just .2 seconds behind the winner from East Carolina University.  Neverthless, Goncarovs time was the second-fastest over a five-kilometer course in school history.

Men's Cross Country Honor Roll

Tim Smith, Roanoke College - (Sr., - Roanoke, Va.)
Smith finished second in the W&L Cross Country Invitational over the weekend.  He recorded a time of 29:10.00 over the eight-kilometer course.
