Tim Smith, Roanoke, Senior

Smith, a senior from Roanoke, Va., picks up his second weekly award of the season after winning the Roanoke Invitational on Saturday.  Smith completed the eight-kilometer course at Mowles Spring Park with a time of 27:54.30.  Smith's time was 40.70 seconds faster than the second place time as he blistered the 42-runner field at the site of the 2009 ODAC Cross Country Championships.  Roanoke won the team-title with each of their five scoring runners placing inside the top-11.

Men's Cross Country Honor Roll

Dan Nafziger, Eastern Mennonite - (Junior, Runner - Harrisonburg, Va.)
Nafziger won the Doc Jopson Invitational on Friday, besting the second-place runner by 19 seconds. Nafziger's time of 19:30 on the six-kilometer course was the top time in the ODAC so far this season at that distance. His gold finish was at a meet of four ODAC teams, including 39 runners.

Lawrence Minor, Lynchburg College - (Senior, Runner - Mineral, Va.)
Minor's second-place finish Friday led Lynchburg to the team title at the Doc Jopson Invite, hosted by Bridgewater College at Turner Ashby High School. Minor finished the six-kilometer run in 19:49.
