Tim Smith, Roanoke, Senior

Smith, a senior from Roanoke, Va., collects his second straight and third overall weekly award as he finished fourth at the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University.  The 2011 ODAC Runner of the Year set a new seasonal top-time in the conference as he finished the eight-kilometer course in 25:35.00.  His efforts helped lead the Maroons to a fourth place team showing.

Men's Cross Country Honor Roll

Luke Sohl, Bridgewater - (So., - Burke, Va)
Sohl placed 21st with a time of 26:29.20 at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis.  His time is the sixth-fastest in the ODAC on eight-kilometer courses this season.

Dan Nafziger, Eastern Mennonite -
(Jr., - Harrisonburg, VA)
Nafziger led EMU at Friday's Paul Short Run with his best 8k time of the year. His time of 26:50.00 finished ninth in a packed field of 322 runners. Nafziger held off five other runners who were all within 12 seconds of him.

Andris Goncarovs, Guilford College -
(Jr., - Ithaca, N.Y.)
Goncarovs bested 200 runners when he finished 44th among eight-kilometer runners Friday at the Charlotte Cross Country Invitational in Charlotte, N.C.. He led Guilford and crossed the finish line in 25:36.71, which earned him fifth place in Guilford's record book among eight-kilometer competitors.

Lawrence Minor, Lynchburg College -
(Senior, - Mineral, VA)
Minor led the Hornet contingent at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational with a 15th-place finish in 26:57.00 on the 8K long course.

Ryan Taylor, Shenandoah -
(Jr, - Westminister, Md.)
Taylor placed 15th out of 138 runners with a time of 26:30.00 on the eight-kilometer course at the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University.

Darren Driscoll, Virginia Wesleyan College -
(Junior, Runner - Haymarket, Va.)
Driscoll placed fifth in a field of 138 runners with an 8K time of 25:42.00 at the Don Cathcart Invitational, tying the fourth-best time in program history.
