Schreiber, a junior from Gladys, Va., helped the Hornets to top prize in the non-NCAA Division I team standings at the Virginia Tech Alumni Invitational. Schreiber finished 29th overall and tops among non-scholarship runners with a six-kilometer time of 22:55.8. Lynchburg finished seventh overall and first by one point over Washington and Lee in the Division III ranks with 28 points.
Women's Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll
Calista Ariel, BC: BC was the only college program to run in the shorter "alumni" race at Virginia Tech. Ariel finished with a 4K time of 15:48.5.
Sommer Fanney, GC: Placed 13th overall at the adidas XC Challenge with the third-fastest 5K time in school history at 20:26.2, making her the second fastest D-III runner in the meet.
Jennifer Barthol, RC: Led Roanoke at Virginia Tech by placing 69th overall and 12th non-scholarship with a 6K time of 24:47.1.
Emily Latimer, VWU: Finished seventh at the adidas XC Challenge with a 5K time of 19:51.8, marking her personal-best.
Kirsten McMichael, W&L: Placed 45th overall and third among non-scholarship runners to lead W&L at Virginia Tech. She posted a 6K time of 23:34.50.
