Marissa Coombs, Virginia Wesleyan, Sr.

Coombs, a senior from Newton, N.J., finished second overall and first among NCAA Division III competitors at the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University. Coombs, in her first race of the season, posted the ODAC's fastest six-kilometer time this fall in 21:55.3, finishing less than a second ahead of teammate Emily Latimer (ODAC 2nd-best 21:56.1) and just short of 16-seconds behind winner Kaylyn West from Division II-member East Stroudsburg. Coombs helped Virginia Wesleyan to fifth in the team standings with 127 points.

Women's Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll

Ariel Calista, BC: Chimed in eighth overall and fifth among Division III competitors at the Don Cathcart Invitational Her 6K time of 22:28.2 ranks third in the ODAC this season.

Michaela Mast, EMU: Placed 17th overall of 271 runners and 10th among Division III competitors in the White Race at the Paul Short Invitational with a 6K time of 23:11.4.

Michela Cholak, LC: Placed 84th overall and 34th among Division II and III competition in the Brown Race of the Paul Short Invitational. Her 6K time of 22:42.4 is the fourth-fastest in the ODAC this season and ranks third in Lynchburg history.

Jennifer Barthol, RC: Placed 61st overall in the White Race of the Paul Short Invitational. Her 6K time of 24:04.4 led Roanoke's contingent.

Julia Moody, W&L: Led W&L to sixth in the team standings at the Long and Short Invitational hosted by Dickinson. In the shorter 4K race, Moody placed 10th overall of 181 runners with a time of 15:06.6.
