Jack Ingram to Perform Live at the Stagg Bowl
Country Music Artist Set for Pre-Game Tailgate and National Anthem

Award-winning country music artist Jack Ingram will bring his impressive act
to the 35th Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl on Saturday, December 15, in Salem, Virginia.

Ingram is scheduled to perform on stage from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. during the pre-game tailgate party at Salem Stadium.  His day won't be quite complete as he will also sing the national anthem to set the Stagg Bowl in motion.

On the scene for more than a decade, Ingram has had several hits featured on Billboard's country singles charts.  "Wherever You Are," his first hit single under the Big Machine recording label, landed at #1 on Billboard's charts, followed quickly by the hilarious hit, "Love You."  Ingram's latest album, This Is It, features his own dramatic re-imagining of rockband's Hinder's rock smash "Lips of Angels."

In April 2007, Ingram was honored with the Country Music Television (CMT) award for "Wide Open Country Video of the Year."  He beat out the likes of Johnny Cash, Cheryl Crow and Jimmy Buffett for the accolade.

Ingram has spent much of the year on tour.  He is currently a special guest with multi-platinum singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley on his "Throttle Wide Open" tour, which is slated to hit 28 different cities.  In January, Ingram and Lady Antebellum with join Martina McBride on her highly successful "Waking Up Laughing" nation-wide arena tour.

Ingram's accomplishments and recognition have come from far and wide.  Some of the more interesting facts include:
  - he sang the National Anthem to 12 million viewers at game 1 of the 2006
    NBA Finals.
  - he recorded a duet with Willie Nelson for an exclusive release, with
250,000 records in Cracker Barrel locations nation-wide.
  - he had a starring role in "I May Hate Myself in the Morning," LeeAnn
Womack's 2005 CMA award-nominated Music Video of the Year.
  - a native Texan, he began writing songs and playing guitar while studying
psychology at Southern Methodist University (SMU).
  - he and his Beat Up Ford Band performed in the Sandra Bullock/Harry
    Connick, Jr. film Hope Floats.
