The second-seeded Generals defeated fourth-seeded Lynchburg, 3-1, in the ODAC Tournament Championship on Saturday at Randolph-Macon to claim the title. W&L earns the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament, which is set to begin opening round play next week. The win advanced W&L to the championship match where it will face fourth-seeded Lynchburg College who upset top-seeded Randolph-Macon, 3-1, in the other semifinal. LC won 25-21, 25-22, 21-25, 25-23 in a very close match, and it gave the team its highest win total since 1981. October 31, 2012 BC Defeats E&H, 3-0, in Quarterfinals The Bridgewater volleyball team will advance to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) semifinals for the first time since 2009 after a 3-0 sweep over Emory and Henry College on Wednesday night in Nininger Hall. |
