Washington and Lee University led just 3-2 at the half, but the Generals out-scored Shenandoah University, 8-6, in the final frame to post an 11-8 victory and secure the program's 14th overall ODAC women's lacrosse title. The win also marks the fourth consecutive crown for W&L, and awards it the conference's automatic entry into the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship.

Shenandoah University advanced to its first-ever ODAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament championship Saturday afternoon with a 17-5 win over Randolph-Macon on the sun-kissed Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium turf.

The fourth-seeded Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team claimed an 8-5 advantage at halftime and never relinquished the lead in a 14-13 upset win over top-seeded Guilford on Saturday in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament Semifinals.

The 15th-ranked Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team defeated Roanoke, 20-5, to secure its ODAC-record 13th women's lax conference title. This year's championship is the third straight for W&L. The Generals earn the ODAC's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament. That field will be announced live on Sunday night at 9:30 p.m. on NCAA.com.

The 15th-ranked Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team used a five-goal run early in the first half to hold off Guilford, 18-10, in the ODAC Tournament Semifinals on Wednesday afternoon at Watt Field.

In a contest that was interrupted two hours by lightning, the Roanoke College women's lacrosse team defeated Lynchburg College, 13-12, in the Old Dominon Athletic Conference (ODAC) semifinals. The Maroons now sit at 11-6, while the Hornets end their season with a record of 11-7.

Emmy Mathews scored a career-high eight goals to help lead Washington and Lee to its 12th ODAC Title with a 21-13 victory over Roanoke College on Sunday afternoon at Watt Field. The top-seeded Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team withstood a late rally by fourth-seeded Virginia Wesleyan as it held on for a 9-6 victory in semifinal action of the ODAC Tournament on Wednesday afternoon at Watt Field. The Generals host the 2011 title game, in which they'll go after their 12th overall and second straight league crown.

Roanoke defeated Lynchburg, 14-8, in the ODAC semifinals on Wednesday evening at Shellenberger Field. The Maroons advance to the conference championship for the fifth appearance at the ODAC title game in the last six years. Gina Valles fired in five goals to go along with an assist to lead RC to victory over LC.

The top-seeded and 15th-ranked Washington and Lee women’s lacrosse team opened with seven unanswered goals and never looked back as it claimed its eighth ODAC Championship in the last 10 years with a 14-6 victory over Lynchburg College in the conference title game on Saturday afternoon at Watt Field.

Washington and Lee University and Roanoke College posted a combined 15-1 record in ODAC play, earning them the top two seeds and first round byes in the 2010 ODAC Women’s Lacrosse Tournament. The Generals (11-4 overall, 8-0 ODAC) enter as the top seed with the Maroons (9-6, 7-1) occupying the second seed.
